As part of its ongoing humanitarian mission, the Habib Yar Charity Foundation distributed relief packages to families affected by recent floods in the village of Dano and other affected areas of Chakhansur District, Nimroz Province.

The assistance was provided following field surveys and assessments conducted by the foundation’s teams, with the aim of addressing the immediate needs of families whose homes, livestock, and agricultural land had suffered extensive damage as a result of heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding.

Prior to the distribution of the relief assistance, representatives of the Habib Yar Charity Foundation travelled to Chakhansur District, where they met with local officials and community elders and visited the affected areas firsthand. During these visits, the condition and needs of affected families were carefully assessed. Following the completion of the field survey and the identification of families in need, the distribution of relief packages to eligible households was initiated.

During the programme, officials of the Habib Yar Charity Foundation emphasized that assisting people affected by natural disasters, supporting vulnerable families, and standing alongside communities in times of hardship are among the foundation’s foremost objectives. They reaffirmed their commitment to delivering humanitarian assistance in a timely and equitable manner, within the limits of the resources available.

Residents of the affected areas expressed their appreciation for the initiative, describing the timely presence of the Habib Yar Charity Foundation and the provision of humanitarian assistance as a source of encouragement and reassurance for families facing the aftermath of the floods. They also conveyed their gratitude for the foundation’s attention to the needs and circumstances of those affected.

The Habib Yar Charity Foundation remains committed to standing alongside the people of Afghanistan in times of crisis. In addition to carrying out its relief programmes, the foundation will continue to do everything within its capacity to help alleviate the suffering and hardships faced by disaster-affected families.
