Parun, Nuristan | 3 Asad 1405

As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts, the Habib Yar Charity Foundation conducted a comprehensive survey to identify families affected by the recent floods in Parun, the capital of Nuristan Province. Following the assessment, the foundation distributed cash assistance among the affected households to help address some of their immediate needs.

The amount of financial assistance provided to each family was determined according to the extent of damage sustained and the level of need. Accordingly, affected families received cash grants of 10,000 afghanis, 20,000 afghanis, and higher amounts, enabling them to meet some of their most urgent needs and alleviate part of the financial burden caused by the disaster.

Haji Mawlawi Abdul Haq Siddiqi, General Director of the Habib Yar Charity Foundation, also accompanied the mission and personally oversaw the assessment process, the identification of affected families, and the distribution of cash assistance. Expressing his sympathy and solidarity with the affected families, he reaffirmed that the Habib Yar Charity Foundation would continue to stand alongside people in need and those affected by natural disasters, doing everything within its capacity to help ease their suffering.

The recent flooding in Parun’s main market caused significant financial and infrastructural damage, creating serious difficulties for numerous families and disrupting their livelihoods. Through its field presence and implementation of this emergency assistance programme, the Habib Yar Charity Foundation sought to address some of the immediate needs of affected households while demonstrating, in practical terms, its commitment to solidarity, compassion, and social responsibility.

The Habib Yar Charity Foundation once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities, emphasizing that serving the people remains both a humanitarian responsibility and a fundamental social mission of the foundation.
