Habibyar Charity Foundation Holds the 15th Mass Wedding Ceremony for 130 Young Couples in Herat
The Habibyar Charity Foundation held its 15th mass wedding ceremony for 130 young couples on Thursday (11 Jadi 1404) in Herat Province.
The ceremony took place at the Qasr-e Sefid Hall in the city of Herat and was attended by the national businessman and philanthropist and founder of the Habibyar Charity Foundation, Alhaj Mohammad Ibrahim Habibyar, along with government officials, religious scholars, academic and cultural figures, traders and industrialists, representatives of private institutions, charity organizations, young people, and various segments of society.
This grand event welcomed more than 6,000 guests and is considered unprecedented in terms of attendance.
During the ceremony, speakers described the organization of such programs as an effective step toward reducing wedding expenses and promoting a culture of cooperation and constructive solidarity. They expressed appreciation to the Habibyar Charity Foundation for its continuous support of young couples.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Abdul Haq Sediqi, the General Director of the Habibyar Charity Foundation, thanked the large number of attendees and assured the continuation of mass wedding ceremonies for young couples. He added that the foundation will also continue its humanitarian activities in other fields.
Mass weddings are among the ongoing programs of the Habibyar Charity Foundation, organized with the aim of reducing wedding costs and providing young couples with the opportunity to begin their married life with dignity.
At the event, each groom received more than 70 essential household items, including a refrigerator, washing machine, high-quality 1200-reed carpet, gas stove, gas tandoor oven, gas cylinder, quality kitchenware, and other necessary household goods. On average, the cost for each couple amounted to approximately 100,000 Afghanis.
Every year, the Habibyar Charity Foundation organizes mass wedding ceremonies in the provinces of Herat, Farah, and Nimroz to support young couples. All expenses of these programs are fully funded and covered through the personal support and generosity of the national businessman and philanthropist, Alhaj Mohammad Ibrahim Habibyar.
